| 2006-12-04, Brussels, SME Women Networking Lunch |
The SME UNION of the EPP created a SME Women entrepreneur network in 2003. Now in almost each member state of the European Union there is an SME Women group (members of the national parliaments and/or women entrepreneurs) so the more practical work can be started. The main aim is to foster women entrepreneurship and draw attention to the great potential of women entrepreneurs in an enlarged Europe striving for the challenging goal of the revised Lisbon agenda. In order to decide on the main working plan and to celebrate the start of the network SME Women & Start-up organized a Working Lunch on “Women Entrepreneurship: The Role of Business Networks” on the 4th of December 2006 in the European Parliament. More than 15 women were present from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Finland, France, Hungary, Romania and Serbia. |
